On Thursday April 6th at 5:30pm we held a parent advocate dinner here at the school. Not only did we invite parents some community leaders were also invited. The two community leaders that came to share were Basheer Jones of ward 7 and Jeff Johnson Councilman ward 10. Jeff Johnson is not only the councilman of ward 10, he is running for mayor in the city of Cleveland this November. During this dinner we discussed enrollment, retention, community involvement, academics, school curriculum, parent teacher relationships, and what our school is all about and how we can be followed on facebook. Also, we discussed how comments concerning our school can be written online along with a feedback worksheet that we provided at the dinner. More than anything, we spoke on how proud we are to have the advocate parents that are associated with this school.
